The Silencer makes the OmniLite Ti clearly more quiet when used with LP-gas or gasoline. This can be a blessing when its used in the basecamp or any other professional application. Not for the use with diesel, petroleum or cerosine.
Several cookers are available which operate both on petrol and paraffin eg. the Coleman Multifuel. Primus, too, manufactures multi-cookers which, as a real treat, operate from gas cylinders as well. With these you can be really flexible and independent. The kitchen never closes!
